The first aim we vi directd for analyzing the go out and sequence of events leading up to deciding the results of how each site was formed was the Leatherwood Granite dictated behind Food Lion. beneficial from outward appearance at that place were obvious weathering and fractures with filled in sediments. Also the surface of these disputations was rough and had a phaneritic texture payable to the moderate but visible crystals. Without any layering and the visible lucid structure in these stones it was concluded that this site consisted of igneous reels. find these rocks there were differences in aging due to the filled in fractures between each section of the site. These fractures show there were volcanic activity melting from the bunghole then cooled down allowing unlike sediments fill in the cracks then molding in rear with the igneous structure showing the sequence of events. Second obvious observation was the two different origins of the rocks, mainly mafic but there was a small section that was felsic. Looking at the felsic rock closer I saw that the mafic rocks surrounding it were intruding the felsic rock showing that the mafic rocks are younger than the felsic rock.
After collecting and observe the data from the Leatherwood Granite behind Food Lion, we went to the Fork Mt. Gneiss. This site was large and had many various regions showing how it heated from the loafer creating the foliation lines and xenoliths. The very noticeable foliation and the red garnets located at the bottom of the site implied that the rocks were metamorphic . These attributes show that the rock on the bottom had become extremely hot and melted. The metamorphism is regional. The two rocks varied because of the temperature during the creation of the rocks. The top was foliated, the minerals lined up from pressure and enough heat to make it layer and not melt. The bottom showed that the heat source was from the bottom.
